Bathtub Glass Enclosures
A glass enclosure on your bathtub replaces the shower curtain with tempered glass that keeps water in the tub and opens up the room. We install sliding tub doors and fixed glass tub screens, measured on site and built for your tub and walls. Protective coating is standard on every shower enclosure we install.

Glass instead of a shower curtain
A shower curtain clings, grows mildew along the bottom and hides your tile. A glass tub door or tub screen stays put, wipes clean and lets light through the whole bathroom.
Glass on a tub comes in several forms:

Sliding tub doors:
Hinged tub panels:
Fixed tub screens:
Framed tub doors:
If you shower in your tub every day and want water to stay inside it, a sliding door is the closest thing to a full enclosure. If you mostly take baths, or you want easy access for bathing children, a fixed screen keeps things open.

Sliding glass tub doors
Sliding tub doors, also called bypass tub doors, are the most popular glass for a tub. The two panels roll past each other, so you can step in from either end, and nothing swings into the bathroom.
Frameless roller doors hang heavy tempered glass from exposed rollers on a top bar, with a small guide at the tub ledge instead of a deep bottom track. That leaves less metal to clean and a clear view of your tile.
Towel bars mount right through the glass, so you have a place to hang a towel within reach of the tub. Hardware comes in chrome, brushed nickel, matte black and brass finishes.

How installation works
Measure.
We look at your tub and walls, talk through sliding or fixed glass, hardware and finish, and give you a free, itemized estimate. If you're retiling, our technicians take the final measurements after the tile is finished.Manufactured to the exact size.
Your tempered glass is manufactured to the exact size of your tub opening, with any notches cut to fit.Install.
Our technicians mount the hardware, set the glass, and adjust the doors so they roll smoothly and close evenly.Clean up.
We clean the glass, haul away the old doors and packaging, and show you how to care for the protective coating.

Fixed tub screens and splash panels
A fixed tub screen is a single panel of tempered glass mounted to the wall and the tub edge. It covers the shower end of the tub, where the spray hits, and leaves the other end open. There's no track and no rollers, which makes it the simplest glass to keep clean.
A fixed screen keeps most of the spray in, but not all of it, since one end stays open. It works best with a shower head on the same end as the glass. It needs a wall and a tub edge to attach to, which makes it a fit for alcove and built-in tubs.

Your options
Replacing old framed tub doors
Chrome and gold framed tub doors were standard for decades. Their bottom tracks trap water and soap, the rollers wear out, and the frames corrode. We remove the old doors and tracks, clean off the old caulk, and install new glass sized to your existing tub.

Common questions
Frequently asked questions
Can you install a hinged glass panel on a tub?
Yes. We install hinged tub panels where the tub ledge, wall and clearances suit the system. We assess the opening before recommending the layout.
Which tub-door styles and glass thicknesses do you offer?
Framed, semi-frameless and frameless options are available. Glass is typically 3/8 or 1/2 inch, with the final specification chosen for the opening and hardware system.
Do you handle a full tub-to-shower conversion?
We handle the glass portion of the project. We work with bathroom-remodeling partners and can coordinate the glass with the rest of your remodel; we do not perform the full bathroom conversion.
What happens to old screw holes when an enclosure is replaced?
New fixings may be needed, especially where old screws are rusty. New clips or hinges can often cover previous holes, but removal or drilling can damage tile. We assess the opening and discuss visible holes and finish work before installation.
How long does shower glass take after approval?
For most ordered materials, we typically receive them within 10–12 business days after approval, then call to arrange installation. We confirm the lead time for your chosen glass and hardware; material arrival is not the installation appointment.
Can you add a glass door to a bathtub?
Yes. Most alcove tubs take a sliding glass door or a fixed glass screen. We measure your tub and walls and build the glass to fit.
Are glass tub doors better than a shower curtain?
For most people, yes. Glass keeps water in the tub, doesn't cling or grow mildew along the bottom, and makes the bathroom look bigger. A curtain costs less up front.
Do frameless tub doors leak?
A well-fitted frameless slider keeps most of the water in the tub. The panels overlap, and seals along the edges cut down on splash. A fixed screen leaves one end open, so aim the shower head away from the gap.
What's the difference between framed and frameless tub doors?
Framed doors have metal around every panel and a deep bottom track. Frameless doors hang heavier glass from rollers on a top bar with a small guide at the ledge. Frameless costs more and is easier to clean.
What type of glass is used for bathtub doors?
We use tempered safety glass for our tub enclosures. Clear glass is standard, with frosted glass for privacy.
How do you clean a bathtub glass door?
Squeegee the glass after each shower and wipe it with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Protective coating, included on every shower enclosure we install, helps water bead off so spots don't bond to the glass.
Can you replace old tub doors?
Yes. We remove old framed tub doors and their tracks and install new sliding doors or a fixed screen sized to your tub.
How much are bathtub glass doors?
The price comes down to the tub size, sliding or fixed glass, glass type and hardware finish. We give you a free, itemized estimate after we see the space.
